Summer Task Media Studies
Your summer task to prepare you for next year is a simple, but incredibly wide brief.

Create a Media Product that Describes your summer.

This can be any of the following:

• A magazine article with images and text
• A podcast style audio product
• An audio visual product in the form of a short film or YouTube style Vlog.

How you choose to do this is up to you. There is no maximum or minimum length for this product as it is how you wish to put it together.

The main thing you need to do before producing the product is to research existing products of the same style and type. E.g. if you are doing a vlog, watch some for inspiration and look at the editing techniques. If you are doing a podcast, listen and look for things such as music in the background. Finally research magazine layouts if you plan to do the magazine article.

You will know a lot of conventions already and can easily research this. The creativity is what I want to see. You need to show me how you create. By giving you such an open brief, that will hopefully be easily seen in your product.

Your product can be fictional or true to life. You truly can be as creative as you like.
