Our Level 2 Diploma in Bricklaying is excellent if you are interested in expanding your skills within the construction sector. If you are seeking employment which involves bricklaying, this course is for you.
What will you learn?
Studying this course allows candidates to learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment and/or career progression in Bricklaying. It covers the following skills:
- Interpreting working drawings to set out masonry structures
- Producing thin joint masonry and masonry cladding
- Building solid walling, isolated and attached piers
- Construct cavity walling forming masonry structures
How long is this course?
This course is one year.
How will I be assessed for this course?
Students on this course will be assessed in both theory-based and practical assessments. Some elements of this course will also require students to complete and pass online examinations as part of the regulations for the qualification.
What are the entry requirements for this course?
It is desired that students have gained, or working towards, 5 GCSE's grades 3-9 including Maths and English.
Students must be aged 16-19 to study this course.
What can I go on to do after this course?
From this course, students can progress onto a level 3 apprenticeship or become a qualified bricklayer to go into employment.
