What will you learn?
This course aims to encourage learners to develop a range of essential skills for Higher Education and the world of work through content which is relevant to any citizen of the planet in the 21st century. Through exciting topics learners will understand the nature of physical and human geography whilst unpicking the debates surrounding contemporary challenges facing the world today

How long is this course?
All of our A-Level courses are two-year courses.
How will I be assessed for this course?
For this subject, students will be assessed through examinations which will take place at the end of the second year of study. In addition to formal examinations, throughout the academic year, students will also undertake mock exams, which will also help to assess subject knowledge and prepare for formal examinations.
Students will learn in a supportive classroom environment for their studies. Students will also be able to undertake independent study as part of this course as lead by their class teacher.
In addition to learning within the school environment, students will also undertake fieldwork as part of their assessment criteria for this course.
What are the entry requirements for this course?
It is desired that students have gained, or are working towards, a GCSE qualification in this subject at grade 6 or above. Additionally students should have 5 GCSE's grades 5-9 including Maths and English and minimum of grade 6 or above in their other chosen A-Level subjects.
Students must be aged 16-19 to study this course.
