Electrical Tech Talks
UAH Electrical Department hosted a Tech Talk day on Monday for all of our Electrical apprentices and employers. We had around eight manufacturers and suppliers come to talk to everyone about their products and provide some excellent CPD during the day. The AICO safety alarms and detectors training vehicle that was located in the yard was particularly impressive and provided apprentices with some vital updates around the installation of these alarms. We even had one of our old students from the school turn up for the day, who was surprised to see his picture up on the wall from when he was here in year 10!
We also announced Jacob Morrel-Bowley as our 2022/2023 Electrical Apprentice of the Year(sponsored by CEF Peterborough). Jacob has now become a qualified Electrician after completing his 4-year apprenticeship. Jacob has overcome many obstacles during his apprenticeship and has turned out to be a fantastic example of the apprentices trained here at the school. Jacob has also been nominated for the South Holland Business awards which will be announced soon. Jacob will be the first name on our new award shield sponsored by one of our wholesalers CEF Peterborough. He also received all of the tools and products pictured provided by some of the attendees on the day including; AICO, CEF, Megger, IDEAL Industries, Hensel, Scolmore, Luceco and Robus.
