- Tutor Time - 8.40 – 9.00
- Period 1 - 9.00 – 10.00
- Break - 10.00 – 10.25
- Period 2 - 10.25 – 11.25
- Period 3 - 11.25 – 12.25
- Lunch - 12.25 – 1.25
- Period 4 - 1.30 – 2.30
- Period 5 - 2.30 – 3.35
- Period 6 - 3.35 – 4.35
Sixth Form Expectations
For the most part, the rules of the Academy are based on common sense. We state the basic expectation: “Everyone will act with courtesy, respect and consideration towards others at all times.”
We expect all students to adhere to the following rules:
- High standards of learning
- Adherence to Academy dress code
- Consideration and respect for others
- Care and maintenance of all facilities and resources
- Good or excellent attendance and punctuality
- All students must sign the Academy Contract
Extra-Curricular Activities and Making a Positive Contribution
The Academy is keen to ensure that 6th form life is more than simply about passing courses with good grades. It is about developing other attributes and life-skills that can be used in later life or as part of the references process for University or employers. Our aim is to develop the following skills in each of our students:

- Organisation

- Being positive role models
- Communication
- Commitment
- Determination
- Self-motivation
- Sense of duty/community spirit
There are a wide range of clubs and activities in which students are encouraged to take part that either give back to the Academy or the wider community, as well as developing higher levels of responsibility.
These include:
- Duke of Edinburgh – Bronze, Silver and Gold
- Volunteering – ranging from Holbeach Food Bank to working in the community with children and the elderly.
- NCS
- The School Production
- Paired reading – supporting younger pupils to improve their reading skills
- Sports Teams / Fitness suite
- Senior Prefect
- Instrumental lessons – ranging from piano to drums
- Sports Leaders
- Young Enterprise
- Residential Trips – USA, Italy, Spain, France, Switzerland, Germany and Poland
- Music and Arts evenings throughout the year
- School Council
- Subject specific trips – ranging from Geography field trips to the Houses of Parliament
- Peer mentoring – supporting younger pupils in your subject
Enrichment
The 6th Form team organise a number of enrichment activities, many of which will take place on collapsed timetable days and during tutor time. The sample list below gives a flavour of such opportunities:

Work Experience and Placements
Work experience is vitally important because it allows students to develop a huge range of skills and qualities.
All year 12 students complete a least a week of work experience in June – although students on many of our courses take part in work experience throughout the year. Learners placements are all relevant to either the course they are studying or a future career they may wish to pursue
Subjects like Health and Social Care and Childcare also have students on weekly placements in a variety of settings so that learners can develop a wider range of transferable skills.
