Teaching Assistant Tutor/Assessor

Part-time with the opportunity for Full-time

G4.09 to G4.12 (£25,183 - £26,409 pro-rata)
 

Criteria for all candidates:

  • Must hold assessing experience (ideally within STLS/Teaching Assistant)
  • Must hold a recognised Assessor award: D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA/Occupational Competency
  • Must be an experienced Level 3 or above Teaching Assistant.
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Full driving licence and use of own vehicle.
  • Flexibility is required with working hours and travel, as and when required to meet learners needs.

Duties include:

  • Assessing and supporting learners working towards Apprenticeships in Teaching Assistant at level 3
  • Ability to support learners with Functional Skills Maths and English to level 2.
  • Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely assessments and reviews are conducted.
  • Organising and maintaining documentation on learners' progress
  • Supporting, advising and motivating learners.
  • Overcoming barriers to learning and adapting delivery to meet learner’s needs.
  • Meeting Assessor KPI’s in terms of timely assessments/visits (when allowed), completing high quality paperwork
  • General administration.
  • Work to learner review and completion timescales.
